Ammamma terms of use

Effective 4 October 2026 · Version 1.0

1. The service

Ammamma lets you exchange voice messages with family members you pair with, translated by AI and spoken in the sender's own voice. It is provided free of charge by CounselGrid Private Limited, Plot 143, Machanpally Enclave, Bandlaguda Jagir, Hyderabad, Telangana 500086, India ("CounselGrid", "we").

2. Who may use it

You must be 18 or older. Pair only with people who agree to talk with you.

3. Your voice and your messages

4. AI translations

Translations and voices are made by AI. They can be wrong, sound different from you, or miss nuance. Every translated message is marked as AI, and the original recording is always available. Do not rely on the app for medical, legal, financial or emergency communication. Ammamma is not an emergency service: call your local emergency number.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to deceive, threaten, harass or defraud anyone, to send unlawful content, to ask family members for money, one-time codes or identity documents under false pretences, or to interfere with the service. The app warns about messages that ask for money, codes or IDs, and may refuse to speak them in a family member's voice.

6. Reports and removing someone

You can report a message with Report, and stop someone reaching you with Remove from family. We cannot read messages; a reported message reaches us only if the person reporting chooses to send its words. We act on valid legal orders, and remove access for anyone who breaks these terms or the law.

7. Privacy

The privacy policy explains how we handle data. Most of your data stays on your phone and your family's phones.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running but cannot guarantee it is always available. We may change or stop features, and will tell you in the app before a material change to these terms applies.

9. Ending

You can stop at any time: remove family members, use Delete my data (About you → Privacy & your data), or uninstall the app. We may suspend use that breaks these terms or the law.

10. Liability

The service is provided free of charge and as is, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under consumer protection law where you live.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
